This June, Powderkeg Players presents two one act plays for two nights only.

Patricia Cornelius’s Slut is an edgy, raw and provocative play that examines the part women play in slut-shaming. Slut follows the central character, Lolita, and a chorus of young women who watch her rise and final devastating fall. Directed by the award winning Natasha Boyd, Slut will tour Victoria as part of the One Act Play Festival circuit.

Second feature is the premier of Adam & Eve, written and directed by longtime Powderkeg friend Donna Prince. Adam & Eve explores the human condition of relevance in the context of an uncertain future.

Scott is imprisoned for the rape and murder of a young woman and his struggling single mother Coral arranges a meeting with the victim’s upper-class parents and the prison psychologist who counselled her son.
